Xios

Xios is the one app iOS sees. It appears on the Home Screen as X11, owns a Metal layer and the UIKit input surface, and renders nothing of its own: a display server hands it an output IOSurface over a mach port, the app draws that as a Metal texture every frame, and your touches and keystrokes go back to the server. Nothing is streamed and nothing is copied.

Every desktop flavor needs it, so you normally do not install it directly: xios-gnome, xios-kde, xios-native, and xios-x11 all pull it in through xios-core.

Open it and pick a session, or start one from the shell with xios-session gnome (or kde, iosc). Once a desktop is up:

• three-finger tap switches between running displays
• four-finger tap opens the session and dimension picker
• pinch zooms to fit
• swipe up from the lower edge raises the iOS keyboard

The app is unsigned, so it needs AppSync Unified (from the https://cydia.akemi.ai/ repo) to launch. Rootless jailbreaks only (/var/jb), iOS/iPadOS 16 or newer, iPad.
