mpv, a capable media player with hardware decode
mpv is a flexible media player for the iosc Wayland compositor.
It plays video and audio through its bundled FFmpeg libraries and uses hardware paths where available.
- VideoToolbox hardware video decode on Apple silicon
- Audio output through the CoreAudio and PulseAudio path
- Native Wayland output on the iosc compositor
- Wide format support via FFmpeg and libass subtitles
Launch it inside an Xios desktop session running the iosc compositor.
