Xios Desktop Core
The shared base every Xios desktop flavor builds on
xios-core is the foundation package for the Xios desktop. It installs the pieces every flavor needs: the Xios display app (Home Screen icon X11), the iosc Wayland compositor, the ANGLE GPU stack (OpenGL ES on Metal), the D-Bus message bus, desktop audio, and the distro defaults for fonts, locale, and paths.
You normally do not install this package directly. Pick a flavor instead and it pulls xios-core in automatically:
- xios-gnome: GNOME Shell on Mutter
- xios-kde: KDE Plasma Desktop and Plasma Mobile on KWin
- xios-native: Linux apps as regular iPadOS windows
- xios-x11: the classic X11 server path
The display app is unsigned, so it needs AppSync Unified (from the https://cydia.akemi.ai/ repo) to launch.
