Xios Desktop (X11)

xios-x11 is the compatibility flavor: a real X11 environment on the iPad. It installs the original Xios X server for plain X11 apps, plus Xwayland so X11 clients can also run inside the GPU-accelerated iosc compositor.

Use this flavor for software that predates Wayland, for window managers and tools that expect a bare X server, or simply because the classic path started this whole project.

Xvfb and the TigerVNC server are recommended alongside it for headless and remote-display setups.

Needs iOS 16.5 or newer on a rootless jailbreak (/var/jb).
